Auto Shut Off
The energy-saving feature shuts off the tester when it is idle. To ensure accurate reading at all times, the unit displays a low battery sign to alert user to change the batteries before it degrades the accuracy of the reading and data.

Water Resistant
The ECO Pal pH Meter is made to be splash proof, allowing easy washing of the unit. Even if the tester is accidentally dropped into the water, it will remain afloat so as to enable user to retrieve it immediately without damaging the sensitive electronics in the unit.

Drop Shock Six Feet
Most pH testers must be handled carefully due to the fragile glass sensor. With an accidental drop of the unit, the tester is beyond repair. But the ECO Pal pH Meter was made to withstand a drop up to six feet. Thanks to the reinforcement of the sensor area and a specially designed straight glass bulb that reduces stress and impact during a fall.

Trans Instruments has specially designed the KoiMedic tester to measure the delicate salt concentration in the pond. Two models of your choice measuring in percentage(%) or parts-per-thousand (ppt).  The testers are accurate and easy to use.  All you need to do is turn it on and dip into the pond water.

The Koi Medic provides accurate results and is very easy to use, simply turn on and hold in the pond. Within a couple seconds the LCD displays the salt concentration measured in percentage. Measures accurately from .01% to 1%.

Salt concentrations between 0.3% and 0.5%(3 to 5ppt) will upset the osmotic balance of some parasites i.e. the parasites’ cells will dehydrate.  Salt concentration of 0.3% are effective at detoxifying nitrite and concentration of 0.25% or higher has been used to control string algae. Nevertheless, salt can cause pond plant damage as the concentration increases.  Floating plants (water hyacinth, water lettuce, etc.) are affected at lower concentrations than most bog plants.

This is a pH buffer solution that is exactly 7.0 pH. Dip you Trans pH meter into this solution and the set the meter to 7.0 using the calibration screw driver supplied with the pH Meter. This should be done whenever you suspect the pH meter is not giving correct readings.
