Jump Start is a professionnal formula of 50% Nitrosomonas and 50% Nitrobacter nitrifying bacteria. Jump Start is excellent for rapid "cycling" in a new bio-filter or re-start of existing bio-filters in Spring or after use of harsh medications. Jump Start does NOT need to be refrigerated during shipping within the U.S. but MUST be kept refrigerated during storage.

Jump Start is manufactured by the makers of KoiZyme and was beta tested for 15 months prior to its 2008 introduction. It was tested by filter manufacters, pond maintenence companies, and many of our dealers here in the U.S.

A natural, beneficial, environmentally safe bacteria that is non-pathogenic, non-toxic and non-caustic. Microbe-lift PL creates a healthy environment in your pond and promotes faster fish growth. It improves dissolved oxygen levels and reduces hydrogen sulfide odors.

Microbe-lift PL works in both high and low alkalinity. It metabolizes dead algae and dissolves away organic sludge. It also seeds and maintains biological filters and reduces biological oxygen demand. It has a shelf life of 3-5 years.

Like most types of mechanical/biological filters, bead filters rely on the use of a media that provides a high surface area/volume ratio. This allows for support of the necessary amount of biomass, in the form of a biofilm, to properly remove organic and inorganic waste from the water, making it suitable for fish and other normal aquatic life. Within the biofilm it is possible to carry out aerobic, facultative anaerobic, anaerobic and chemosynthetic processes if all the necessary bacterial species are present.

Consequently, for these filters to function, it is necessary to have proper numbers and distribution of species. MICROBE-LIFT/SUPER START contains aerobic heterotrophs, facultative anaerobes, anaerobic and chemotrophic bacteria capable of carrying out all of the necessary processes for optimum performance of bead filters.

PL/GEL is a technological breakthrough because it’s the first product that puts the bacteria right where you want it and it STAYS THERE!

PL/GEL will quickly attach to and populate any filter media including foam, strapping, floss, bio-balls, ceramic media, etc. This will help to rapidly establish the necessary biological activity in your filter to stabilize your pond’s environment quickly. It will also helps restore this activity to your filter when you clean or change the media in your filter.
